Role Description The Insurance/Reinsurance Broker will manage client portfolios, identify appropriate insurance and reinsurance solutions, and negotiate terms and conditions with insurers and reinsurers. Daily responsibilities include assessing client risk profiles, preparing proposals, arranging coverage, and ensuring timely renewals and policy administration. The role involves maintaining regular communication with clients, explaining policy features and options, and resolving inquiries or issues in a clear and professional manner. The broker will collaborate with internal teams and international partners, including Willis Towers Watson network members, to access competitive products and market information. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Baku City, requiring close coordination with colleagues and continuous engagement with local and international markets.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills for risk assessment, policy comparison, and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction, negotiation, and preparation of clear documentation.
- Solid knowledge of insurance and reinsurance products, market practices, and regulatory frameworks.
- Understanding of underwriting principles to evaluate risks and support appropriate coverage recommendations.
- Foundational finance skills to interpret financial data, premiums, and loss ratios.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Insurance, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in insurance brokerage, underwriting, or risk management is an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment and manage multiple client priorities.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to client service excellence.
- Proficiency in relevant office software and comfort working with digital tools and reporting systems.
